CARE & NURTURE

Minister alongside the Pastors in Worship.

Coordinates flower donations for Sunday Worship.
Greet and seat members and guests who come to worship.
Care and Nurture
Meets Sundays at 9:15am and Wednesdays at 7:00pm in the Chapel for open prayer and support.
Provide services for members after hospitalization, a new baby and other needs.
Help those who are new to feel welcome and introduce them to what First Church has to offer.
Bring flowers and love to members of the congregation.

Prepare meals for 150 guests of Merton House.
REFLECTIONS ON RACE
Understand the meaning of our own racial identity, to discern God's plan for addressing the existing injustices.
Work alongside C.I.R.I. to assist in finding a place in the community for refugees and immigrants.

Provides affordable, clothing and household items to the community.
Who We Support
COUNCIL OF CHURCHES
Volunteers support our community partners in ministry to Bridgeport.
Members cook supper for 50 guests of the Operation Hope shelter.
Assist in helping to settle refugees and immigrants.
Working toward bright futures for indeginous people in Oaxaca, Mexico and La Plant, South Dakota.
Walkers and sponsors raise money to end local and internationall hunger.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Teams build houses for God's people in need.
Volunteers read-a-loud, mentor and tutor in Bridgeport School.
