Beth Fitzpatrick comes to First Church with a broad range of experience in nonprofit communications and project management. Before joining our Pastoral Team, she led community relations and volunteer management efforts at The Center for Family Justice in Bridgeport and held a similar role at the Ferguson Library in Stamford. An award-winning journalist, Beth was senior writer at the Stamford Advocate, before transitioning to the nonprofit world. She is also a contributing writer for the publications of Moffly Media, including Stamford, Greenwich, Westport, and New Canaan/Darien magazines.
She is honored to make a new professional home at First Church because of its open and affirming approach to faith and acts of community service.
For more than a decade, Beth has been a board member of the Fairfield Foundation for Education, a local nonprofit which provides town public school teachers with grants which support classroom innovations.
She and her husband, Michael, raised their young adult sons in Fairfield and are proud to call this kind and vibrant community home.
