Worship

THE DIACONATE
Minister alongside the Pastors in Worship

CHANCEL CHOIR
Lead us in praise during Sunday Worship.
(Rehearsals Thursday evening)

CHILDREN’S CHOIR
Children lead the congregation in praise through song and Orff instruments
(Rehearsals on Sundays)

PAGEANTS
Children and adults lead us in dramatic presentations of the sacred story.

FLOWER COMMITTEE
Coordinates flower donations for Sunday Worship.

USHERS
Greet and seat members and guests who come to worship.
Care & Nurture

PRAY TOGETHER
Meets Sundays at 9:15am and Wednesdays at 7:00pm in the Chapel for open prayer and support.

COMPASSIONATE CARE
Provide services for members after hospitalization, a new baby and other needs.

WELCOME MINISTRY
Help those who are new to feel welcome and introduce them to what First Church has to offer.

HOSPITALITY
Welcome members and visitors.

FLOWER COMMITTEE
Bring flowers and love to members of the congregation.

DISCIPLE ROAD
Adult teachers and shepherds lead and learn with children on Sundays

CONFIRMATION
Ninth graders and adult mentors seek and discuss their place in the Church.

MENTORS
Adults learn and grow with youth confirmands.

MIDDLE ROAD
Prayer, fun and growth for 7th and 8th grade

HIGH ROAD – YOUTH GROUP
Prayer, fun and growth for 9 thru 12 grades.

SERVICE TRIPS
Youth and adults learning and growing in service.

COVENANT TO CARE
Support for families and children in foster care.

SOUP KITCHEN SAINTS
Prepare meals for 150 guests of Merton House.

REFLECTIONS ON RACE
Understand the meaning of our own racial identity, to discern God’s plan for addressing the existing injustices.

REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT
Work alongside C.I.R.I. to assist in finding a place in the community for refugees and immigrants.

THE STORE
Provides affordable, clothing and household items to the community

Two Houses, One Home
Plan shared worship, activities, and hospitality along with members of First Baptist Church, Stratford.

THE LOFT COMMUNITY
An affirming support group for LGBTQ+ people and their friends. Meets Fridays at 4pm at the church. Email vrose@firstchurchfairfield.org for information.
