Kathy Williamson currently serves as Faculty / Lecturer at Yale University, Yale Divinity School in New Haven, CT, offering Spiritual Direction to some of Yale’s brightest minds. In addition she serves on the Ministerial team of First Church of Fairfield, Fairfield, CT. She is a retired State of Connecticut Judicial Branch employee, having culminated her career as Superintendent of the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center. It is there, while working as a Corrections Officer in men’s prisons and as Superintendent in juvenile facilities, that she began ministry outside of a traditional church setting. Following retirement, she returned to Yale University receiving her M.Div. from Yale Divinity School and certification in Non-profit Organization through Yale Law School. She is the recipient of the Charles S. Mersick Prize from the President and Fellows of Yale University for effective public address. It is there that she served as Chaplain for the Pan African Women’s Fellowship.
In addition to her M.Div., she holds a MS in Counseling with her Thesis: “Identifying and Servicing the Mental Health Needs of Incarcerated Youth”. She is a Social Justice advocate and has served on Social Justice Committees both locally and nationally.
It is her endeavor to assist people in seeing themselves as God sees them; not only seeing their true potential, but to also live it out. Pastor Kathy Williamson is the wife of Troy Williamson and mother to one daughter, Chelsea.
